Thomas Morton S.A. is a family company trading in WOOLS, Greasy, Scoureds, Tops, Noils and
Wastes from Uruguay and with excellent connections as well in Brazil and
Argentina. We have good and regular contacts with practically all
wool consuming countries.
Mr.E.Thomas
Morton- Senior Director, has been in the wool trade since 1950 working
for Hart. He started his own Company in 1981.
Mr.
Malcolm Morton- Director, has been with the company since it started
operating in 1981.
The
company is a member of the Uruguayan Cámara Mercantil de Productos del
País, affiliated to the IWTO.
The
mere fact that traditionally wools of these origins are mostly bought
directly, on the farms, where valuing personally each lot is essential,
such prolonged period in activity, has given us the knowledge of wool
that only an uninterrupted long experience can give.
Our
aim is to secure and keep all those sound connections made.
Our
main activity is in greasy and scoured wools.
The
sorting and preparing of the wools we buy on the farms is done 100% by
us, and when bought from dealers, the preparation is also overlooked by
us.
Our
policy is to achieve flexibility in order to be able to meet enquiries
from all the different buyers, at all different times.
The
goal of our Company is to achieve a good commercial relationship with as
many companies in all countries consuming our wools, and open to new
customers of consuming countries wanting to buy, the very good style
wools of this origin.
